I can’t
believe it’s been almost a year
Since
I went and left you behind
With
it has come unknown fear
Of unspoken
promises
life oh boy it can be so unkind
I have
cried many tears through this time
Wishing
in some ways I’d stayed
But leaving
it felt such a bind
Of times
gone by
Oh how
I so often prayed
Where
has the time gone
It seemed
to be dragging along
There’s
no words to this song
Leaving
at times it feels so wrong
I
chose to leave it was better this way
But I
feel so often lost and empty inside
What
more is there to say
If only
we could turn back the clock
But there’s
nowhere left to hide
So
often I have felt so alone
Where
bitterness raged
So often
I have wished I could go back home
There
have been feelings of strife
And I’ve
felt like an animal caged
Where
has the time gone
It seemed
to be dragging along

Leaving

I

I have to move on
Going
forward I can but shed a tear

the past behind
I
have no choice but to remain strong
I
realise that no one can change the past
Not me,
not you or anyone near
I
have my faith which is strong and will last
Through
the good and the bad
And with
Jesus through
Each
and every passing year
