He is The Truth & The Life as it is foretold
He rose from the dead hence why the stone
Was rolled away from the tomb
For He was the Son of Man who
Would meet with the disciples in a secret room
After His resurrection
For He is the Great I am
His life has been a journey since before the beginning
For it was given that one day in the near future
That His life would be more than its worth
Walking on foot throughout the holy land
This was to be His destiny since before His birth
His calling from God the Father
For He is the Great I am
Healing people of diseases and sickness wherever He lead
Those who were even, it seemed to appear dead
Were awakened by the simple touch of his hand
The crowds would be eager to get healed
throughout the cities of every
land
whereby news had spread into every town
For He is the Great I am
He remembered the prostitute who knelt at His feet
With her tears that fall from her eyes onto them
She wipes them with her hair and showers His feet with kisses
Fragrant oil that she has bought she pours over them too
I tell you her sins though they were, are forgiven for her which is
bliss
She would remember this day and sin no more
For He is the Great I am
Who quietened the storms raging the great seas
When the chosen twelve sat in the boat and were afraid
Whilst Jesus appeared to be at rest and merely just sleeping
The waves were rocking the boat sideways to and fro
Reeking havoc with the disciples, who were close to weeping
Jesus stood up and calmed the storm, for Him no big deal
For He is the Great I am
Do you remember the multitudes of thousands of people
Whereby the five loaves and the two fishes were given
and the food never ran out for it went a long way
To feeding the five thousand and even more than that
For after this glorious food had been given over to Jesus to pray
It was amazing to see how far the food went
For He is the Great I am
Wishing and hoping that Jesus would become bored
And tired and give up without a fight
But we know that Jesus always had an answer
For him – after all he was the true source of light
So the devil fled from His presence
For He is the Great I am
There was a time when Jesus went off alone to pray
He wanted to be on His own throughout this time
To the Garden of Gethsemane leaving the disciples behind
Jesus falls to the ground and begins talking to God
After he has finished, the disciples he went off to find
Though they were sleeping, He said the spirit is eager but the flesh is
weak
For He is the Great I am
Finally the day was to come for he would be turned in
To be crucified on the cross He knew this time
Had been coming so he was prepared for it all the way
Beaten, mocked and tortured right to the very end
His death on that cross will be remembered to this very day
For our sins He paid a great price
For He is the Great I am
More importantly though was the time of his resurrection
For the tomb stone was rolled away just three days
After He had died on the cross and it was empty
For all the pain and the suffering He had endured so long ago
Was to take away our sins and for him it was costly
He paid the price for our sacrifice
For He is the Great I am
