I guess it is a personal thing
That just doesn’t hold a ring
With a purpose that is simply driven
To what cause can this be given
I sit here wondering over this day
What lies ahead is simply at bay
The forecast is not very good at all
For some they are just having a ball
With pure greed and lust in their hearts
Covering up lies is purely an art
They cannot see what lies ahead
As they simply do not get up from their beds
All they can think of is nothing but money
To lust after this is to them quite funny
If only they would just listen and wait
then maybe one day they will get the bait
For it is noted that pride comes before a fall
until then those lustful hearts will hit a brick wall
who knows one day the truth will evolve
that only through Jesus problems will be solved
I know that herein lies nothing but truth
With everything to gain and nothing to lose
For until their selfish desires are left at bay
Then their lives will be nothing but alas a dismay
So if you are following along with this rhyme
Can it really be better to have more than just a dime
for those who are rich and have more than their share
will not have the goodness of life that is so very rare
for the kingdom of heaven comes to those who seek
it is not just for the fainthearted or the very weak
it is open to all from backgrounds far and wide
just remember that there is nothing you can hide
God knows you from the inside out
Just be open and honest and give Him a shout
With arms open wide he will beckon you in
Beaming from ear to ear He will do more than just grin
For the greedy and selfish who have no desire
The kingdom ahead also has no place for liars
Get on your knees as soon as you can
And turn from your old ways for they are just banned
For unless you do you can’t enter the light
Just give up your ways now, you can do it just fight
There is a motto to this rhyme I’m foretold
All you have to do now is take the right road
For this road ahead will give you peace and joy
As at the end of the day you will appear just coy
Turn from your past and give God a go
He will change your life much more than you know
